True story, Diannah. This little guy was the cutest! I thought he was being sooooo cooperative with the photo shoot. I couldn't get over it. Then he rolled over on his back. Both of his back feet were caught in a trap. I was so upset. I got a pair of old gloves and, totally without fear or concern, I opened the trap and set him free. He didn't appear injured. After all that, he was headed in the wrong direction. So, I PICKED HIM UP and carried him to the woods, where he scurried off to have a life. Before he left, I gave him a scratch on the head and, having put my 15 year old cat down the week before, I could have sworn I heard the skunk purrrrrrrrrrr. If I could have kept him, I would have.
